3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz. bottle. It pours a nice clear gold color with a big white head. The aroma is very sweet with lots of candied caramel and toffee. A little fruit and florals underneath. The flavor is a little better with some strong floral/piney flavor and more sweet caramel toffee malts. The finish is very bitter with more pine. Nothing seriously off, just a lot of sweet crystal flavor. This would have passed for a good version of the style seven or eight years ago. Today, itís just meh.

1.7 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle from Total Wine & More. Pours amber with a solid creamy head. Leaves a sparse lace but this snifter is plastic so take that with a grain of salt. Aroma is offensively funky with a wheat and hop background. body is oily with a light amount of carbonation. Very little amount of hops, mostly roasty toast malt flavor. Flavor is pretty weak all around which probably makes it drinkable, if it tasted like it smells I would be dumping this out. Luckily Iím at a party so I can give these away.
