4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 bhensonb (7589) - Woodland, USA - JUN 25, 2010
Bomber from the Natomas BevMo. Pours amber with a 4 finger foamy yellow/white head. Aroma is very grapefruit/citrus (sniffing the bottle - can’t get much from the huge head). Medium body with smooth mild carbonation. The flavor is grapefruit rind over light roast malt, but there’s a lot of florality. A lot. This stuff is very hoppy, but it’s not at all harsh. Let’s call this a UK Imperial ESB. It’s that good. Might kill the average Brit though. Oops. Brits are sturdy. Might kill the average Anglo/Franco/Saxon. Anybody take umbridge at that?
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Dixonian (1200) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAY 24, 2012
On tap @ Tied House.
Dull amber brew with some white head. Aroma is not near as hoppy as I expected - caramel malt with some citrus and resin hops. Flavor is malty as well with a sweet finish.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 tgncc (1915) - Bellmore, New York, USA - FEB 11, 2012
Bottle shared at Paul’s tasting. The aroma is caramel, citrus. The appearance is a slightly hazy orange color. The flavors are caramel, citrus. Citrus, pine and resin on the finish. Medium/thick in body, creamy mouthfeel. Not bad. Maybe a tad run of the mill, but enjoyable.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Dogbrick (4842) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - DEC 14, 2011
This beer pours a clear amber color with a medium thin off-white head that burns away quickly to a film. Top ring of lacing with spots underneath. Aroma of hops and caramel malt. Medium body with flavors of herbal hops, malt and sweet caramel. The finish is short with a lightly bitter hops aftertaste. Fairly inconsequential IIPA overall.

Bottle at Paul’s tasting. Pours a fairly clear amber with a medium sized white head. Slightly skunky and dank citrus, malt and earth. Medium bodied, earthy malt, a touch of smoke. Finishes with a lingering bitterness, more odd smokiness.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 Thisis12ptfont (179) - Los Angeles, CA, California, USA - NOV 26, 2011
Aroma is caramel, pines, hops, citrus and a slight vanilla. Appearance is a very dark gold with a medium foam head. Taste a nice mixture of caramel, pines, bread, and a good amount of hops. There is a nice bitterness and citrus finish. Texture is creamy and crisp. Overall, this is a strong, full flavored hoppy beer. Nice balance between all of the flavors with a nice bitter bite to it. Another good one from Hermitage. I’d give this an A rating.

Drinking this during the lions thanksgiving game! Pours an orange color with a stable off white head. Smells of malts and hops. Pretty bitter . Good
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 hoppopotamus (256) - Santa Cruz, California, USA - NOV 2, 2011
A clear golden beer with a small white head. Aroma is vague hops, a bit piney, also some bready malt/yeast, and a weird soapiness. The flavor’s got mostly hop bitterness, with a bit of caramel malt. Thin mouthfeel, really just bitterness without much distinctive hop flavor.
2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 5/20 Lorenasa (76) - Florida, USA - OCT 7, 2011
Pours a dark golden strong aroma of hops. Maltiness comes through with plenty of hops to go with it
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Ibrew2or3 (4985) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - SEP 2, 2011
Pours clear deep gold with narrow copper core and semi loose off white head. The aroma offers up lots of spicy hops, some pine resin and then cedar wood spiciness too. Around the aromatic edges of those notes I get a wedge of grapefruit. The taste is similar with robust hops running from a wide load of spicy hops to a moderate level of pine hops to a mild amount of grapefruit citrus like hops. As some of the hop notes come together I get a firm anvil of spicy cedar wood. Interesting brew. Loved it.
