4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
A rich and deep amber colored brew with a thin off white head. The nose is massive grapefruit and sweet peanuts. There is also some toast and a pleasant floral character. This tastes of fairly bitter piney, especially in the finish. The hop resin lingers for a long time. Strong notes of wood are certainly present along with hints of ash. The taste of the bitter hops absolutely overwhelms the malt character. After a little more drinking, bits of citrus begin to shine through. This is a very bitter brew, but somehow it comes across as more refined and balanced than most IIPA’s. This is very well done.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
355ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, orangey golden colour with average, thick, frothy to creamy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Citrusy and piney, hoppy aroma with a touch of glue, zesty hints of tangerine and grapefruita sugary touch. Taste is bitter and slightly citrusy hoppy, chalky and mineral notes, some lemon, pale malty background with an almond touch, some cardboard; alcoholic finish. Not much hop flavour, quite papery overall. Not worth the transatlantic crossing.

Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish - sweetish, light - some caramel and faint bread, light tropical fruitiness, some pineygrapefruit hoppyness, light - some alcohol. 3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Not quite right, this is full of hops, and built on quite a big malt build, but the finish is very harsh , and not just hop bitterness,
