A very malty beer with well masked alcohol and little bitterness. Nothing unpleasant was noted and there was some caramel/sweetness to it.

Bottle at tasting. Pours clear brandy amber, small beige head, dissipates quickly, little lacing. Aroma is caramel dominated with perhaps a bit of raisin. Flavor is much the same, medium sweet, light metallic finish. Medium body. Nothing bad, nothing special. I will say that the ABV was well masked!
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 CanIHave4Beers (2495) - Des Moines, Iowa, USA - NOV 23, 2012
Pours a very deep red with a small but resilient head.
The aroma is sweet and malty with a lightly toasty character and a little bit of rich toffee.
The flavor is malty in a lightly toasty/not overly sweet kind of way. The beer is lightly fruity, not there’s just not a lot going on here. It’s just sort of a strong, lightly boozy, malt forward ale. Nothing about it is standout, nothing about it is offensive.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Indra (2476) - Overland Park, Kansas, USA - OCT 29, 2012
12oz. bottle. Malty, gently sweet, nutty aroma, some faint toffee and dried fruit in the background. Dark amber in color with a very slight, fading head. Flavor profile is malty, lightly toasty, some dark brown sugar and faint raisin towards the finish, virtually no detectable hop bitterness, but alcohol is extremely well hidden as well. Low in effervescence and smooth on the palate, body is medium-full. Not the most flavorful example of the style I have had, but very easy to drink.

Aroma is heavy raisins, mildly nutty malts and fruit. The flavor is raisins, medium sweetness and a malty finish. Reminded me of a Scottish Ale with more alcohol, in between Scottish and Scotch ales.

Sampled at the Artisans Craft Beer Festival 2012. It poured a dark brown color with a small white head. The aroma was of caramel and some maltiness. The taste was heavy on the malts with hints of scotch. A very good Scotch Ale and easy to drink.

I wasnt impressed with this one. Pours a dark amber with no head. Almost a prune aroma and a caramel prune taste. This was definitely a let down.
