3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Terminus (2619) - Las Cruces, USA - JUL 18, 2011
22 oz bottle-pours hazy amber hue with a fizzy lightly soapy off-white head with moderate lacing and legs. nose is earthy, lightly herbal, piney, lite smoke, lite catty note as well. flavors are earthy, resinous with a touch of herbal tea like quality. definately a unique beer and i have never herd of this hop. long finish with herbal tea notes and frim earthy bitterness. has some burt qualities too in the malt profile. wow that stiff bitterness is really earthy! almost like when you smell fresh lightly wet shovled earth in the midwest. thats how it tastes. definately more into the british ipa category if you ask me but definately a clean beer in all respect. just not how i like my ipa’s. nothing against the beer but it definately has some character that would be hard for people to really get into. However, its still better than the last 2 three floyds beers i drank! (both drainpours!)
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 bnoel09 (273) - Elk Grove, California, USA - MAY 15, 2012
Poured from the bomber into a shaker. Cloudy amber colored with a brownish hue and slight cream colored head. Aroma is caramel malt base with floral and herbal hop notes. The hops combined with the sweeter malt base create an earthy taste with a slightly bitter finish. This drinks like a red ale. Medium to full body with a slightly sticky mouthfeel and a long astringent finish. This is a nice beer, but definitely seems more like a red ale than an IPA to me.
2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 MrChopin (2213) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - APR 19, 2012
slightly darker tea with shorter lasting cream white head. Heavy lotion, light caramel, plant and pine hops. Flavor is more paper, high bitterness, not very fresh and no balance.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 GT2 (3970) - Washington DC, USA - APR 16, 2012
651mL thanks to beerandblues2. A typical "red" IPA with way too much specialty malt including crystal malt. Stale, cheesy hop nose. Way too dark of SRM for style. Nose brings out sugary strawberry cheesecake from a gas station. Typical stale hop nose plus specialty malt sugar. Taste is malty, super thick, loads of maple and resin bitterness. Such a full body it’s almost impossible to drink. Way too much unfermentables in suspension lead to a sticky, cloying body. Couldn’t drink it.

Not a very good IPA. Extremely bitter. Someone may enjoy it, but not for us. Had in bottle.

Super sweet caramel ips, far too sweet to be good, lots of astringent ice tea. Nasty shit. Dumped.
