22oz bottle from Binny’s Lincoln Park. Pours a cloudy, deeper orange colored body with a finger-width, creamy, off-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a soapy lacing throughout. Aroma is sweet caramel malts with a good amount of grapefruit pines and some tropical fruits. Flavor is similar. Sweeter caramels and plenty of citrusy pines. Fairly bitter throughout with a few tropical fruit notes before this finishes dry, bitter, resiny, fruity, and somewhat sweet from the malts before leaving a lengthy aftertaste. Medium body and a somewhat soft, moderate carbonation. Overall, a decent IPA. Firm caramels and a sturdy malt backing with plenty of bitter, citrusy, straightforward hops. Not bad.

Much better than the Citra rendition. This one is fairly bitter with the typical hard-to-pinpoint galaxy taste.

Sampled at an rsnls tasting. A golden pour with minimal head. This smells fruity with citrus. It resembles Cascade by aroma. The flavor is also fruity and has semblences of Vascade. It also has differences. More dryness. This is ok.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 ryecatcher (378) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 2, 2013
Bomber. Pours a hazy medium golden-orange (not sure if it’s a chill haze or not...) nice white head with mad lacing. Nose is dank, tropical fruits and pine (guava and passion fruit) with some caramelly malt notes in there too. Mouth is medium bodied and surprisingly drier than I expected, lots of tropical fruit hoppiness up front that rides a meaty malt backbone but isn’t overshadowed by it. Finishes with some breadiness and fades out with a long, lingering bitter finish. Only knock on the hop profile is that I didn’t get that white grape character that is tell-tale in Galaxy hops. Still very nice. I might have to run back to Binny’s and pick up the Citra release before it’s gone!

22 oz. bottle. Reddish amber pour with a medium sized eggshell colored head. Aroma of pine, grapefruit, citrus peel, and lots of dankness. Mild caramel malt. Flavor is strongly bitter, tons of citrus peel and grapefruit. Mild grape skins, some pine and hidden booze. Some touches of spruce and evergreen. Nice, very bitter flavor. Medium bodied, fair amount of carbonation. Finishes long and bitter. This is a nice IPA. I like this hop choice.

Draft. Very good, huge foamy head, sharp hop , floral, strong but pleasant finish.

Bottle, tasting. Latest in their single hop series. Pours clear amber, small off white head, some lacing. Nice aroma with notes of citrus, tropical fruit and something exotic that I could not quite place. Flavor is much the same, little sweetness, medium bitter. Medium body. Quite nice actually.
