Cask @ The Burnbrae, Bearsden.
Golden ale, 1 finger white head which dissipates to a thin layer.
Aroma of vegetables, caramel malt, some grain hops - rather unpleasant smell.
Taste of light sweet malt, a touch of bitter hops, cooked vegetables. Boring and bland.
Palate bittersweet finish with cereal.
A poor, bland beer with an poor aroma. Left half of the pint. The commercial description in no way relates to what I tasted. A waste of money.

On cask at Cloisters. A blonde ale with a thin white head. Aroma of caramel, yeast and rubber. Flavours of rubber, tar, caramel, and yeast. Foamy mouth-feel. Couldn’t finish my half!

Cask conditioned handpump Malt Shovel Northampton. A golden beer with an off-white head. Very yeasty, in fact Greene King yeasty in both aroma and taste. A bit of sweet tea. A typical Greene King family low hop high yeast flavoured beer. Nuff said.
