Only beer from this Brauerei Gasthof. Tap. Malty aroma and flavor. Some caramel and licorice. Fairly low on carbon. Just a bit of rest sweetness. Lovely beer, albeit not entirely clean.

Bottle... Crystal clear, deep amber lager with a small, creamy, off-white head. Decent retention. Lightly malty, moderately herbal aroma promises toffee, biscuit and sod. Full-bodied with an oily mouthfeel and lazy carbonation. Mainly sweet toffee and honey with subtle, mineral bitterness. Toffee-sweet finish. Thanks to bierkoning for providing the bottle!

It’s dark amber with a huge, creamy and lasting head. The aroma has notes of malt, bread and fruit. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of roasted bread, malt, light caramel, and the finish is dry. It’s refreshing and yet soft.

Bottle: Amber coloured, lively carbonation, stable fluffy head; sweet malt, roast malt, honey and fresh aromatic hops in the aroma; sweet (malty) and distinctive bitter flavour, rather fizzy mouthfeel; well balanced, first malty sweet, later dry bitter hoppy finish. A very tasty brew !

Bottle best by January 2015. Clear rust colored body with a thin ring of a white head. Oxidized amber malt aroma is metal and cardboard with red apple skin and cinnamon candies. Light body, semi-sweet with low bitterness in a watery, thin finish. Starchy and papery more than anything.
