4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 angelkostvo (267) - - OCT 1, 2012Color is black with a bit brown to it with a nice cinnamon like head that stays. Aroma is interesting it/s chocolate, coffee, toffee, lactose.. Taste is as great as the aroma it has everything that you expect from the aroma and a really smooth palate, something like sweet espresso maybe. This is probably the best black lager I had from a Czech brewery.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 thepeter (274) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 28, 2012
A - Almost black with a slight red tint on the bottom of the glass. The head is perfect tan and lasts well into the beer and leaves a decent lacing.
S - Burnt/roasted malts, dry fruits, chocolate, a whiff of an open field.
T - toasty, malty, cocoa powder, bit of coffee, and a little sweetness.
M&D - great carbonation, easy to drink, very quaffable (not sure if that’s a word but you know what I mean). Nice body, could drink it all night.
