Cask Handpump at the Penny Black, Northwich (JDW) 31/10/2001 Golden coloured strong in alcohol and bitter on the palate. Sour fruit flavour in a hop finish.

Bottle. Poured a small white head that quickly dissipated, no lacing, transparent, carbonated, and a golden orange hue. Aroma was quite malty and mildly hoppy. Flavor was bitter, malty and hoppy. Tingly palate. Light-medium body.

Golden color with a full milk colored head. Cornbread and mild spicy aromas. Light malt and dough flavors balanced by a mild zip of hops. Easy to drink and enjoy. One of those brews where I’m not sure if I want more hops or more malt. So I guess the balance is about right.

Sweet malt aroma, hops noted, amber, tiny white head. Flavour has some mineral qualities, hops, and some good malt. Nicely balanced, pleasantly bitter. Well made example. Thanks Radek.

Old gold in colour with a small head. Very thin taste and hardly any bitterness. Quite unpleasant.

This is neat looking lager, creamy white head on top, medium carbonation. Medium sweet, clean nose. Soft herbal hops behind. Medium bodied with soft velvety work on malts, bitter hops just on edges. Good refreshing brew, with right amount of substance. Leaves good long lasting, gentle aftertaste .Clean well crafter beer. Solid job

Bottle. Dark golden with small lasting head. Biscuity-sweet maltiness (just around best before date!) with an almost whisky-like (speyside?) aroma and flavor. Well balanced but not my favorite flavor profile.

UPDATED: JUL 31, 2007 Bottle from Asda. Orange lager. Aroma is sweet. After trying their schwarzbier I expected much more from this brewery but this was just a sweet, brown sugary lager that verged on unpleasant and some of it ended up down the drain.
