0,50 bottle in a quizzical all-German "European Beer Star 2012" sampler. - nice full fruity aroma, somewhat sticky/chewy body, round and fruity malt with pleasant hop afterthoughts and a slight alcoholic aftertinge. Enjoyable, but let’s part as friends (- we do not necessarily need to meet again unless we run into each other).

3.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
500ml vom Fass relaxing in the biergarten of Antonius-Schwaige just outside Ingolstadt. Thanks to Manuela for showing the way. Light wheaty aroma with a malty touch. Moderate haze to a dark brown coloured body. Thin white foam. Yeasty taste with support of wheat, herbs and cloves. Again more yeast plus a sweet hoppy hint in a prolonged ending. Medium bodied. Quite nice weissenbock (shared with Finn, 23.06.2007).

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
This beer had a cloudy brown/amber color with a minimal and lazy head. The initial aroma struck me as being like regular old frozen grape juice although it got more vinous and dried fruity as it warmed. Medium bodied and well rounded, cakelike and malty with chocolate and vanilla flavors, a touch buttery. Sweet and mild finish that lingered some. This bottle was at least a year old and a little dusty but I don't think it hurt it any, and it would make a good dessert beer. Skip the pie.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
basically the color of a good sunset when held to the light. very nice off-white head, no lacing though. detect some vinegar in the aroma with a very subdued sweetness..malty as hell. flavor is better with some chocolate and i think i detect prunes, maybe grapes.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
When poured, this beer had a tan head with medium-large bubbles that quickly diminished. There was no lacing on the sides of my glass and the carbonation that was present was fizzy. The body was cloudy and the hue was brownish. I could not quite pinpoint the nose of this beer. The flavor was that of alcohol and the mouthfeel was light-medium and somewhat watery.
