(bottle, courtesy of Papsoe) Almost black coloured hue with a mid-sized beige foamy head. Dusty, moderately sweet and slightly sourish fruity nose with a dark, slightly roasted malt-character. Light-sweet flavour, medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Slightly roasted malty base with sourish fruity notes; moderately dry and sweet-bitter finish. Needs a re-rate due to infection (23.04.08).

A very dark brown beer with a nose of roasted grains, some sugary sweetness and a nice punch of coffee., The flavour is round with coffe, roasted malt and some light esters dominating. The end is quite hoppy and dry. A little too sparkling...

En sød, blød, chokoladefyldt stout. Fruen var overordentligt begejstret - gik overraskende godt til en baconburger i øvrigt.

Dark brown beer with a huge and dense head. A sweet stout with notes of oatmeal, coffe, chocolate, raosted malts, alcohol and liquorice. Finishes lightly bitter. A nice one.

Flaske. Flot brun sort øl. Ser faktisk rigtig godt ud. Lækker duft af brændt kaffe, med en lille smule chokolade. Den store skuffelse er fornemmelsen i munden, som slet ikke lever op til synet og duften. Tynd og vandig. Ærgeligt da den ellers er rigtig lækker.

Draught @ BrewPub København, 1456 Copenhagen, Denmark. Clear medium to dark black color with a average to large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, burnt, milk chocolate, coffee. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (010208)

Black with medium brown head. Aroma has roasted malt, liquerice and chocolate. Flavor is moderate sweet with liquerice, roasted malt and chocolate. Ends slightly bitter.

Black/brown with a golden head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, yeast and oats. The flavour is smooth and nice with roasted notes, the smoothness from the oats, yeast, licorice, coffee, a bit of dried fruit, melon, caramel and light sweetness. There is almost no bitterness. It’s a nice stout, but IMO it might have had some more depth and bitterness.

Comments: Exquisitely done big stout with firm bitterness complementing its rich and satisfying chocolate maltiness.

Bottel.50cl. Drank it at the brewery. A very fine stout, but the aroma is at a minimum, almost not ther, but the taste makes up for it, good bitter taste of hop and toasted malts.
