Bottle enjoyed at home
Pours copper red, big beige head. Smells of yeast, smoke and hints of roasted malts. Medium malty body, good sweetness. Also some tiny hints of smoke. Quite dry on the palate. Nice bitter finish that lasts a while

berlinoise2go (626) - NORWAY - SEP 2, 2011
Bottle (50cl) from Vinmonopolet (Vika), Oslo. Batch 449. ABV 5.5%. Inch-thick offwhite head, quickly reducing to a robust ring with some lacing. Hazy dark orange/amber colour. Complex malty/estery aroma with spices (pepper, coriander), ripe/fermented fruit (banana, sweet apple), caramel, grain. Medium body, soft carbonation. Taste is moderately sweet initially, then more acidic and mildly bitter. Finishes with over-ripe fruit notes (verging on being too much) and mild bitterness.

Sigmund (5316) - Tau, NORWAY - AUG 26, 2011
500 ml bottle, brew #449, from Ølkonsortiet, Aalborg. ABV is 5.5%. Amber to copper colour, slightly hazy. Moderate head, slightly off-white. The aroma has notes of ripe berries and caramel, hints of honey, but also unpleasant notes of rotting green apples and ammonium. The medium sweet flavour has some malts, caramel and rotting fruits, and has an overall coarse character of not very successful homebrew, possibly infected. Low bitterness. This is undoubtedly the least attractive brew I’ve had from Herslev.

larsga (6323) - Oslo, NORWAY - JUL 22, 2011
Medium offwhite head. Hazy amber body with strong carbonation. Earthy sugary peas and caramel aroma with mealy wooden notes. Dry-sweet musty earthy alcoholic taste with wooden caramelly notes. Mid-bodied. Weird alcoholic and confused mouthfeel. Dryish earthy papery caramel aftertaste with vegetable notes. Weird. Is it really meant to be like this? (0.5l bottle, wine monopoly Vika, Oslo.)
