COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Høst Bryg 2006 is slightly stronger at 7% ABV.
Brewed in with malts, newly harvested sunripened danish Kelleris-cherries, hops, and yeast. Will get more vinous with aging.

Bottle as 2006 Vintage 6% shared by Pinball. Cloudy almost murky reddish brown with a medium off white head. The aroma is surprisingly acidic and cherry sour. Some sweetness but also vinegar. The flavour is sweet cherries, vinegar, some tartness, caramel and almonds. Didnt expect this at all so Im quite surprised with this.

Bottle at Københavnske Øldage 2009, brewed in 2006, 3 years old.
Cloudy red-amber color; no head. Simple Ale, with a medium body, and a light cherry-like fruitness. Refreshing.

Bottled@EBF2008. Reddish amber colour, not much head. Aroma is marsipan, almond and some cherrypips. Flavour is quite much the same. Drinkable, but a bit too sweet.

From bottle @ EBF 2008. Pinkish red color. Marzipan, cherries, just a bit vinous aroma. Thin. Sweetish cherry flavor, indeed almost vinous. Likeable.

Clear red with no head. Sweet aroma with cherry notes. Sweet cherry flavour with malty notes and a sweet end.

I’m a big fan of the fruit beers, if they are not too sweet, and this one does not disappoint. When poured into the glass, even the foam is pink. This beer starts with a refreshing barley taste, and then is followed by a growing cherry taste, not too sweet or strong, but not subtle either. It gets a little sweeter and more flavorful as it warms up.

This brew is best before 2006.12.31 and is called B 199 - today it’s January 09 2008. The brew has an incredibly nice red copper color and the head is creamy. The aroma is on the weak side, but I find malt and a vinous cherry. The flavour is smooth with a light bitterness, that reminds me of biting in the fruit inside the cherry stone. I also find cherries, light malt and caramel and sweetness. The flavour isn’t so powerful, but this could be related to the age?
