Sample from bottle at Slagelse Danske øl Festival and several times from bottles prior. Pours slight hazy orange with a little head. Slight bubblegum and banana flavour. Soft wheaty flavour with a persisting bubblegum note without becoming dominant. Dry and hoppy finish.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: JUN 2, 2007 An unclear dark golden beer with a huge orangey head. The aroma is sweet with notes of wheat, banana, dusty hops, and oranges. The flavor is sweet combined with a slightly acidic wheat note giving it a freshness, the notes also include some banana and oranges, leading to a very dry wheaty end.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: AUG 23, 2005 (Bottle 50 cl) Deep orange golden with a head that collapses a bit fast but never vanishes completely. Extremely fruity nose from the wheat esters. Flavours also full of fresh fruit and an immense complexity. A bit more bitter than your typical Hefeweizens, but this easily competes with some of the best German examples of the style. A yummy surprise. 130504

3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Sampled draught at Dansk Ølfestival.
Pale orange. Estery banana aroma. Sweet and fruity, medium bodied. Some grassy hops in the finish. Has all the flavours of a good hefeweizen, but the maltiness isn’t really very firm, and there is to much sweetness to make it refreshing.

2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
BB 07/07: Hazy orange with white head. Malty , wheaty, banana, yeast & citrus aroma - spices also. Good lacings. Palate is very thin. Aroma is a lot better than flavor. Flavor is citric & a bit sour. Not very pleasant.. Perhaps infected!!

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: JUN 26, 2007 Draught at Lord Nelson, Copenhagen, 2007-04-19, 7-3-6-3-14=33
Cloudy blond color. Interesting aroma, banana, wallnut, boiled corn. Medium body structure, some sugars, some malt, some wheat, clean banana flavor; maybe too thin at the end. A good sample, for me.
Draught, 2004-05-15, 6-3-5-3-10
Cloudy blond color. Typical wheat beer aroma, spicy and with banana fruitness. Quite dry mouth feel, not impressive. Maybe ok for white beer lovers…
