COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

The color is incredibly beautiful deep, red amber and the head is huge, golden and creamy. The aroma is malty with slightly sour berry notes. The flavour is malty with light berry-sour notes and a light citrus. It’s an OK bock, but I had expected it to be fuller in the body. 2306

Comments: An advancingly buttery, oily maibock, but it somehow enhances the texture when combined with its pushing crisp green plants reminding hops. Strong honey notes also. Very close to a miss, but very well recuperated.

Bottle. Reddish brown pour, with a dense, beige head. The aroma is quite piney and hoppy, and lacks the maltyness I expected, but it is still nice. The flavor is quite hoppy as well, with pine and bitterness and some sweetness, finishing quite bitter and piney for a bock. Medium body. It is not the typical bock, it is too hoppy for that, but it is quite nice. I don’t think it’s the kind of bock I will buy again though. (070928)

(on bottle) Malty and mashy all the wat through, even gets somewhat rotten in the finish. Again a bad brew brought to the festival, wtf?

0.5 l bottle. Amber color with dirty head. Malty, toffeish and fruity aroma. More malt and toffee in the flavor along with berryish and fruity notes. Fairly bitter for a bock.
