COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

27-APR-2013, draft @Torvehallerne, as Økologisk Maj Bock. Clear brown with creamy off_white head. Aroma a bit restrained but taste very nice. Malty and sweet with bready notes. Some hops as well and a licorice thing. Very sweet. Alcoholic. Fine. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Systembolaget. Hazy amber, medium head. Toffee aroma with hints of fruit. The nutty toffee flavours are balanced by some hop bitterness. Quite nice.

Bottle from Systembolaget. Hazy leather golden colour. Big soapy off white orangy head that leaves lots of lacing. Smells of caramel, bread, some fruit, floral, malt and hops. Flavour is thick and sticky sweet. Again caramel, flowers and fruit. The alcohol is present in a nice and warming way I think. Quite nice balance between hops and malts. The carbonation give me a feeling like licking a battery. I was actually a bit suprised and must say I enjoyed this though it was rather sweet. P. S. I must say now after finishing the bottle that the booze takes over more and more in the aftertaste.

Bottle. Clear orange body with an insane, yet controlled carbonation...fascinating...what is this, The Blob or something? :-P After taking a three minute break to let the foam settle, I’m able to catch a few whiffs: a strange combo of malty licorice hints settled in toffee, elevated by sour/fruity tones of grapefruit and kiwi. This aroma really can’t make up its mind: "am I an APA or a Dunkel?" Anyway, the taste kinda lands on a bock-style profile, at least: more maltiness comes forth, with only a few hints of sprucey, herbal hoppiness. Extra points for originality, this is not yer everyday bock, at least. A bit strange, but an OK beer, all in all - nothing more.

Bottle from Systembolaget. It poured a hazy golden-orange liquid with a small dirty white head. Flavour of caramel, fudge, bread, hint of home made booze. A bit stingy mouthfeel, I didnt like it. Also light body and high carbonation. I didn’t like this beer at all. The mouthfeel was to rough and it felt enhanced by the flavour.
