UPDATED: MAR 5, 2011 Bottle. Pours out in a beautiful hazy deep burgundy red colour with a rich sticky off-white head. Big, deep and rich fruity aroma of prune, raisins, black cherries, forest scents, red grapes and dense malts. Full-bodied with rich malty and fruity notes of prunes, red berries, sweet English licorice, leather and and mild gentle white pepper. Smooth mouthfeel. Long aftertaste of raisins, prunes, over-riped raspberries, cherry-skins, caramelized nuts, and mild pepper. A wonderful piece of art.

En sötsyrlig barley wine som har drag av syrlig frukt/bär som körsbär plommon och lingon. När hela flaskan hällts upp och bottensatsen följt med finns i både smak och konsistens drag av nypon eller t o m nyponsoppa. Lite kärnbeska, jäst och en antydan till humle finns där också. Lätt kropp för stilen, ingen beska alls, friskt syrlig men lite för söt.

bottle from barley wine (they still have a few!) cloudy brown to murky brown, smooth light brown head. malty aroma, also old hoppy, slightly oxidized, dark dried fruots, figs. flavor s dark dried fruits, tart note, malts, sugar, butterness, a sourish barley wine. flavor is almost like a belgian brune.

Amber with a small white head. FSour with fruity notes. Malt, hops and fruit ( pineapple ? ) Full body with a sour and sweet finish.

Bottle. Pours a deep amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty slightly vinous dark fruit aroma. Sweetish malty dark fruit and caramel flavor. Has a sweetish malty dark fruit finish.

Tomato pure, caramel, funky. Nah, this was not good. Horrific barley wine and I’m glad if I don’t have to drink this again.

Amber with a small white head. Aroma of fruit and malt with nice vineous oxidized notes. Sweet and rich malty flavour

Bottled from Systembolaget; thx rlgk Deep amber with a small head. Very fruity and malty aroma; sweet, dried fruits. Some unpleasant notes of bolied vegetables. Vinous and very sweet flavour; dried fruits here too. A bit too alcoholic

Bottle at Copenhagen Beer Festival 2011. Black with an off-white head. Aroma and flavour of caramel, licorice, alcohol, malt and hops.

Bottle. Low ffuffy and quickly disappearing white head. Pitch black body. Mild smooth and yet powerful coffee liquorice aroma and flavor with a fair amount of hops bitterness. Low carbonation and a long aftertaste. Alcohol almost not noticeable in the flavor.

Bottle. Red copper with a huge, creamy porous head leaving some lacing. Aroma: honey, raisins and dried fruit, candy. Taste: raisins, red currants, lots of alcohol, acidic, vinous, grapefruit, hard lemon candy, medium bitter, dry finish. Pretty full-bodied but not a lot of carbonation. Despite it being 3-4 years, it is very boozy. Not that good.
