Bottle, 50 cl, at home. Slightly hazy brown with a small off-white head. Sweet fruity orange peel aroma. Taste is sweet malty orange-scented, leading to an inoffensive, easy forgettable sweet malty, spicy finish.

deep amber, brownish hued. small off white, fast dissipating head. some spice is evident in the nose, mild cinnamon and clove. some grapefruitish aromas.. orange peel coming through in the flavour with mild roast and malty caramel. lighr but still somewhat creamy on the palate. pleasant.

Flaske 0,5l fra Vinmonopolet, Tromsø Sentrum. Drukket i heimen 21 Nov 12. Mørk gyldenbrun med litt rødskjær. Høyt luftig skum som varer lenge og fester seg litt til glasset. Sparsom på aroma: Litt krydder. Lite kullsyre. Harmonisk smak. Julestemning med litt krydder og en anelse frukt. Blir litt med tung fruktig etter hvert. Likevel et forbausende lett juleøl. Uklar siste kvelling. Mye bunnfall.

500ml bottle, batch 625, from Vinmonopolet Tromsø, Langnes. Deep dark amber coloured body. Unclear last pour. Tiny, but stable, beige layer. Modest aroma of earthy malts and mid-sweet caramel. Taste of dough and marmalade with star anise taking over towards the ending. Sweet finish. Soft in the mouth.Very average festive season beer (at home, decorating the Christmas tree, 23.12.2012).

Bottle, 2011 vintage. Pours hazy brown, with a nice creamy head. Light aroma of sweet malts, with notes of fruitiness and a light spicy whiff. Flavour is a bit too sweet and far too short lived, with plums, raisins and some dark fruits as well as molasses and sugar.

It is not your typical christmas brew but feels so smooth and good so that doesn’t matter

Bottle. Cloudy brown colored body, tiny vanishing offwhite head. Yeasty and fruity aroma, lighly spiced, taste of malt, chocolate, roast and spices. Thin body, sweet aftertaste.

Pour is clear red/amber, small beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, spices, ginger, yeast and mild toasted notes. Taste is dark fruits, yeast, citrus and some slight notes of wood. Body is light, ends malty sweet, no bitternes.

Doft: Maltid, belgisk jäst, apelsin, citrus och tropisk frukt. Frisk, lättsam smak med touch av apelsin. 5,1p av 10 vid julölprovningen 2011.

Bottle at Hanne på høyden, Bergen. Very cloudy dark brown, like sewage. Nice aromas of leather and hint of hops. Flavours of berries, cloudberries and oak. Dry finish and light bitterness. Watery and slightly slick mouthfeel. Overall surprisingly dry and vinos taste with a twist of berries.
