Bottle at Hanne på høyden, Bergen. Very cloudy dark brown, like sewage. Nice aromas of leather and hint of hops. Flavours of berries, cloudberries and oak. Dry finish and light bitterness. Watery and slightly slick mouthfeel. Overall surprisingly dry and vinos taste with a twist of berries.

Medium to light brown body, slightly hazy, with a smallish, off-white, short-lived head that vanishes more or less completely, virtually no lacing. Quite nice aroma, but too faint too be really exciting: a bit less malty than the christmas beers I’ve had so far this year, in addition there is a solid yeasty scent along with hoppy notes. Overripe citrus fruits, dust and faint spices. Light sweet and light bitter taste: gentle and well balanced, on the edge of boring. Very citric flavours, lots of yeast and faint traces of sweet caramel. A bit too light body with a texture that’s close to watery, but the flavours save the day. Long-lasting citric, spicy, yeasty dry finish. A nice and different christmas beer.

0.5l bottle, #498. This is a lightly clouded deep deep murky amber-brown beer with a small quickly fading and light sidesticking light beige head. The aroma has spicy and some almost sour tones. Malty with tones of caramel and something that reminds me of a lambic. Average carbonated with quite thin and almost watery mouthfeel. Kinda sweet on the flavors, near no bitterness. Also hints of spices towards the watery and quite sweet ending. In some strange way it both smells like and taste like a lambic without the sourness. Not my kind of Christmas brew.
