Medium beige head. Clear deep dark brown body. Earthy roasty candy aroma with fluffy sugary bubblegum notes. Sweet roasty earthy coffee taste with fruity bubblegum notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, slightly flat mouthfeel. Sweetish earthy roasty mealy aftertaste with coffee and syrup notes. Nice, drinkable, balanced. Perhaps a little bit boring, but OK. Draught. Pours dark brown with a frothy small tan head. Aroma is chocolate, nutty, roasted malt, very bready, raisins, brown sugar. Taste is light+ sweet, light bitter and a little salty. Body is light+, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. Finishes balanced and nutty. Well-made, but not overly exiting.

PapaVillum (511) - Valby, DENMARK - JUN 7, 2013
25 cl fadøl, 6,5 %, 7. juni 2013. Mørk, lidt sødmaltet porter/stout med dybsort farve. Udmærket lidt stille, men solid porter uden de store udsving. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours dark ruby red color with small, rapidly dissipating head. Aroma of roaste malts, some vanilla and wooden notes. Flavor of roasted malts, ripe fruits, some caramel, some dark berries, dark roasted coffee and mild orange notes. A bit dry and bitter palate, dry burnt finish. Very nice.

Aroma has coffee and cocoa. Flavour has soy sauce, some coffee and licorice. Feels like a foreign stout. Nice aroma but the flavour doesn’t quite match it.

_angst_ (3058) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 26, 2012
500 ml bottle courtesy of rlgk. Pours dark blackish brown with a frothy brownish beige head that slowly dissipates while leaving some trace and lacing on the glass. Smell is tiny sweet and malty with toasted malts, pumpernickel, slightly dry grass, dry wood, tamarind, liquorice root, caraway, vanilla and St Johns wort. Taste is sweet and malty with toasted malts, sweet dark bread, liquorice root, moist wood, cocoa powder, St Johns Wort, dark roast coffee, tar, lemon zest, slightly fry grass, pine and hints of caraway and vanilla. Mouthfeel is smooth, round, slightly silky and medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet, bitter and malty with roasted malts, dark bread, cocoa powder, moist wood, liquorice root and tar. Didn’t expect much from the smell but taste and mouthfeel is solid.
