Danish: En flot sort øl med et tykt skum. Farven kommer fra den bedste chokolademalt. Balance og blødhed er skabt ved brug af spelt og rørskukker.
Nydes alene og til kraftige retter ved 10-12 grader, eller køligere sammen med chokoladekage.
Er brygget af bygmalt, hvedemalt, spelt, rørsukker, humle og gær.

500ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown, almost black, light brown head. Heavily roasted aromas, coffee, chocolate, tar, roasted nuts, fudge. Semi sweet, medium to full bodied, medium bitterness, creamy CO2. Heavily roasted taste, malt, chocolate, tar, licorice, roasted (almost burnt) walnuts. (2012-01-20)

Pours completely utterliy black with a small, creamy, yellow-beige head. Aroma has oats, chocolate, light coffee. A bit of lively rye. Low carbonation, super fat oily mouthfeel. Flavour has lots of English liqourice, chocolate, light nutty, softly vinious, cocoa-powder. Lingering malty bitter finish. Fine beer.

Chopp. Deep dark brown colour with a nice steady medium sized beige head. Pleasant aroma of roasted malt and chocolate. Good smooth mouthfeel. Flavour has a good roasty maltiness with chocolate and some liqourice, good bitterness. Tasty brew indeed.

(Draught at Lord Nelson, Copenhagen, 17 Feb 2012) Black colour with frothy, pale brown head. Malty, roasted nose with coffee, chocolate and dark rye bread. Roasted, malty taste with notes of coffee, chocolate, dark rye bread and a balanced cocoa bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Well balanced and tasty. Very nice.

Pours dark ruby red color with small, rapidly dissipating head. Aroma of roaste malts, some vanilla and wooden notes. Flavor of roasted malts, ripe fruits, some caramel, some dark berries, dark roasted coffee and mild orange notes. A bit dry and bitter palate, dry burnt finish. Very nice.

Bottle at home. Pours very dark brown with a medium tan head. The aroma is toasted malt, chocolate caramel, tobacco, light coffee and some bittering hops. The flavour is roasted malt, chocolate and tobacco. Malty bitter finish. Very nice.
