(sample from tap at CBF) Pours clear dark amber with medium, tan head and lace. Aroma is cat’s piss and berries. Oily texture, medium carbonation, medium body with a sweet and fruity finish. Taste is moderately sweet with mild bitterness. Pleasant, fruity hopjuice.

Draught. Sweet and roasted aroma. Black colour. Very small light brown head. The flavour is mild with a good coffee note. Flavourful and well-balanced.

Pours a black beer with a beige head. The aroma is malt, slate, coffee, licorice and notes of chocolate. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is dry with sweetness. Overall a beer above average.

Bottle at home. Pours very dark brown with a medium tan head. The aroma is toasted malt, chocolate caramel, tobacco, light coffee and some bittering hops. The flavour is roasted malt, chocolate and tobacco. Malty bitter finish. Very nice.

Clear dark dark red brown colour with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, beige to light brown head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120304]

Bottle @ home, courtesy of Fonefan. Black colored but still a nice deep dark red glow comes through. Decent sized creamy medium brown head. Smell malts, dark malts, coffee and chocolate. Taste malts, coffee, strongly chocolate. Soft carbo, medium body.
