2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 kiwianer (807) - Mönchengladbach, GERMANY - MAY 29, 2012
From the tap in the Brewpup in Kopenhagen/ Orange-red body, fruity a bit sugary-alcoholic. Not my favourite. 10/5/6/5/-/5
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Sigmund (3714) - Hafrsfjord, NORWAY - JAN 1, 2012
500 bottle, from Vinmonopolet Vika. Batch #461. Unfiltered and unpasteurised. ABV is 7.5%. Hazy amber colour, large off-white head. Sweetish but nice aroma, ripe fruits, malts and some caramel. The flavour is also fruity and malty, medium sweet, with tolerable hops in the finish. The alcohol is not very well hidden, but that’s okay - after all, this IS a bock. Quite enjoyable.

0.5L bottle from Vinmonopolet, Vika. Foggy deep red with a brownish hue. Low lacing off-white head. Nose is fresh nutty malts, and bubble-gummy floral and grassy hops. Taste is clean malty. Medum body strenght. Crisp nutty and bready malt flavor. Balancing bitterness. No disturbing alcokol. Good drinkability, good beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 larsga (4681) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 20, 2011
Medium offwhite head. Clear (paleish) amber body. Roasty
caramelly raisiny aroma with strawberry and earth notes.
Dry-sweet roasty rye crisp bread and caramel taste with syrupy
dusty toffee notes. Fullish body. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish
roasty dusty rye crisp bread aftertaste with strawy earthy
caramel notes. Excellent! A really harmonic and vivid
beer. (0.5l bottle from wine monopoly, Vika, Oslo.)
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Palme (1437) - Bergen, NORWAY - NOV 11, 2011
0.5l bottle. It pours a near-clear thin bronze body with a small fading and quickly sidesticking off-white head. The aroma has some sweet caramel and dark malty tones, kinda fruity also with hint of leafs. Not extreme at all. It’s lively carbonated and it has a nice and light oily mouthfeel. Flavors also kinda dark malty with some burned caramel, nuts and a nice hopy hint toward the finish and good alcohol tones in the aftertaste. Yeah, drinkable and all that, but bocks just is not that my kind of thing. This was ok though.
3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 stefannilssons (328) - SWEDEN - NOV 4, 2011
En riktigt god öl, kraftfull, smakrik och fyllig. Smaken präglas framförallt av jästen och en liten tendens av maltighet men den är så.liten att den knappt räknas.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Foffern (285) - Bergen, NORWAY - OCT 30, 2011
Appears clear, redbrown with a beige to ligth brown frothy head. Don’t stay for long. Aromas of sweet caramel, nutty malt, breadish. The flavours reflects the aromas with the addition of alcohol. Sweet with very light bitterness. Slick texture with soft to flat carbo, and below medium bodied. Overall an okay bock, but I felt the malts didn’t balance the alcohol touch which was more dominant than I like for this type of beer.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20 Marsiblursi (2684) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 29, 2011
(Bottle) Pours light hazy orange amber with a creamy, off-white head. The aroma holds bread, grain, caramel, syrup, honey light fruits and fainted hops. Undertones of nuts and orange marmalade. Nice but not super complex. The flavour is light sweet, light to medium bitter tiny acidic. Tones of bread, grain, caramel, almonds, honey, light dried fruits and grassy, light herbal hops. The mouthfeel is clean, round, smooth and almost creamy with a light carbonation. Soft malty finish with a light spicy touch. Medium bodied. Surprisingly good.
