Engelsk i stilen.

UPDATED: MAY 8, 2006 Bottle. This is my biggest suprise in a long time. This is a fantasic beer. Excellent mostly lasting head. Nice amber colour. Powerfull aroma. But the finish of this beer is amasing. Long and compleks. Creamy palate.

Perfumey, floral, fruity aroma evokes soapy lavender and a light spiciness. Lightly hazy deep orange-tan coloured body is topped by a generous, fine bubbled, white head that recedes fairly quickly to a lasting cover with excellent lacing. Hop flavours greet the tongue initially but are joined by toasty and biscuity malt character. Bitterness is quite subdued but keeps the clean, sweet malts from being overwhelming. Floral hops last in the aftertaste. Effervescent, lively carbonation engages the mouth and keeps it feeling fresh. Definitely more in the British tradition this is a decent and quaffable pale ale. Cellar temperature. Tulip glass. Bottle (M.h.t. 29.09.05 / B92, Ølbutikken, Aug-05).

Bottle. Pours hazy pale amber with a big creamy off-white head lasting until the last drop, and leaving a lot of lacing. Fruity hoppy aroma with oranges, some ripe fruits like peaches, grapes, muscatel, and a bit tropical; somewhat herbal too; light malt, some cookies and toffee. The taste is light sweet to dry and moderately bitter. Smooth creamy palate, with a long fruity aftertaste. Really nice and drinkable.

Bottle from systembolaget. Pours cloudy, orange/brown, with small offwhite head. Big hoppy aroma of citrus, pine and grass. A steady body for a pale ale, citric pile bitterness, medium fruityness and newly cut grass. Farely bitter, fresh and rather dry. A fullbodied pale all, close to an IPA. Well balanced and well hopped. A really positive surprice from a brewery that have disappointed me most times so far.

At least in the suitable situation this was really fine and enjoyable pale ale. Well balanced and a bit unique I think.

Draught at DBF 2004. Hazy yello/pale body, creamy little head. Aroma is very fruity and citric from the hops. Nice malt presence in the flavor, fruity, hops to back the whole thing up. This one was rather nice!

Draught @ DBF 04.Unclear pale orange with small head. Lots of hops in aroma and flavor combined with a pleasant balanced bitterness. Nice aftertaste too. I really loved this one.
