Handbottle from Ølbaren, thank you Myrup!
Pours a clear dark ruby-red with a small film head. Myrup tells me that a fresher version has more head. Aroma is sweet, malty doughy, a little bit of berries, and weak roasted caramel. Low carbonation (probably due to handbottling). Mild, roasted and chocolate flavour. Perhaps it is a little thin for a stout, but I’m thankful for getting the opportunity for tasting this!

Draft. A hazy deep red beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma is sweet and very spicy - especially cardemomme, but also notes of caramel and alcohol. The flavor is very sweet mlaty and very spicy again cardemomme being the strongest, combined with notes of wood and alcohol. The alcohol grows in intensity towards the end.

(On tap) Beautiful, clear dark brown with a warm, reddish hue and a dense, light brown head leaving a wee lacework. Sweetish aroma of roasted malt. Medium body, rich in sweet, roasted malt and a whiff of licorice. Ends with a surprising hop bitterness that really builds up on your palate. Yet another solid offering from Herslev. 161007

Draught at Ølbaren. Clear red brown coloured with an off white head. Malty aroma of hay and caramel with notes of liquorice. Malty and light roasted flavour of liquorice and hops. Hoppy finish.

From tap pours dark brown with a creamy light brown head. Caramel malty, molasses and slight aroma hops aroma. Creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied. Soft malty liqourice and slight sweet flavour. Nice bitterness and floral/peach fruity hops breaking the malt heavy flavours, nice balance. Liqourice, malt and slight alcohol finish. This is good stuff.
