3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 raymondwave (931) - FINLAND - NOV 22, 2006
Modest 6.5% for a bock and doesn’t really push thru. Quite sweet, maybe a bit too sweet, dark and after tasting most of the Hertog Jan range, identifiable as a member of the family.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20 DanBerg (59) - Alkmaar, NETHERLANDS - NOV 16, 2006
Bottle at tennisclub. Very dark bock, unless it’s not a dubble one. Sweet taste, nice flavor, just a very good bock for the winter.
3.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 larsga (5325) - Oslo, NORWAY - OCT 5, 2006
Big beige creamy head; deep dark intensely red body. Faint sweetish aroma with licorice notes. Light, sweetish taste with strong roasty licorice overtones, wild berries, and marzipan. Delicate, harmonic, and balanced. This is exceptionally well made, and very good. Very drinkable. (0.25l on draft.)
3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 Emmaneul (16) - NETHERLANDS - SEP 28, 2006
Bottle 2006. Strange out-of-place aroma’s with dark malts and a bit of hop. Sweet with a very light touch of acid. A dry full bodied finish with simple hops and later very dark chocolade, caramel. Not balanced but decent.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 altonbrownd (4210) - Brussels, BELGIUM - SEP 28, 2006
Tap at Wildeman. A very tasty bock with a sweet and bitter taste. It’s really very dark, chocolate-flavored, with a prickly feel to it. Really enjoyed it.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Sofajoern (146) - DENMARK - FEB 17, 2006
Fairly decent stuff. Gorgeous deep red brown body with quickly dissipating head.
Quite a lot of alchohol in the aroma, along with some fruit and malts.
More sweetness and fruit in the taste and a quite bitter finish.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 JensenTaster (1719) - DENMARK - JAN 18, 2006
(on bottle, thax Anders Evald :)) Deep, clear and very dark rubycolour, wiyh a larg beige head. Malts, raisins in rum and some alcohol in the aroma. Soft mouthfeel and even more sweetness in the taste; dades, dark sugars. The alcoholfeel disapears and do not return in the finish either.Does get woody and quite complex to the very end of a whole bottle, so I guess that swings it up to the 3.1.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 ThomasE (5176) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JAN 12, 2006
Deep reddish, almost brown beer with a tan head. Malty aroma with bready notes and a light fruityness. Malty and sweet flavor with some grainy notes and a light caramel sweet finish.
