COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

03l bottle bought at the supermarket. Dark ruby colour. Sweet scent, little malty, not that much aroma. Nice carbonation (not too much). Creamy caramel with a slight bitterness. Ok.

Aroma of dark fruit, caramel. Its enjoyable enough, but Ive had much better dunkler bocks.

Bought a bottle at the supermarket. The beer has a deep ruby red color, the color of autumn leaves and a nice head, CO2 level is perfect. The aroma of caramel comes directly into your nose. The taste is full and creamy with a light bitter. The finish is pleasant with a nice bitter. A nice Bock, but not the best one in Holland.

0,3l fles donker bier met mooie schuimkraag. Geur is zoetig. De smaak is zoet met een klein zuurtje en klein bittertje.

Pours a ruby clear beer with a good creamy white head. Smells gras, sweet and malts. Not very much aroma. Tastes pretty fresh and bitter for a bock. Grassy, hops and fruity. Average carbo, dry texture and a thin body. Finish sweet and bitter.

Sweet malty nose, chocolate, sugar syrup, dries fruits (plums, raisins), winy, opaque redbrown, creamy tan head, small layer rests after a while, good, lacing, creamy bittersweet taste, by no means as sweet as you would expect from the aroma, somelight fruity sour notes, medium body, creamy, flat carbo, roasty bittersweet finish but now are the sweet accents stronger than in the taste, also those fruity notes continue. Also just a teeny weeny watery (why do I mention this). Not your typical Dutch bock.

Mooie donkerbruine kleur, vrij veel koolzuur. Klein beetje schuim. Ruikt wat zoet. Smaakt lekker, zoet, beetje bitter.

30cl bottle at home. Reddish dark brown with a small off-white head. Medium body with light carbonation. Sweet with a bit hoppy ending. Caramel, some coffee, dark fruits. A decent Dutch dunkler bock.

30cl Bottle: BBD Mar 2014, poured into an Augustijn chalice at home on 7th Jun 2013. Deep, dark ruby red in colour with an off-white head that thinned out very quickly: although it did leave some sticky lacing on the chalice as the beer level sank. Sweet and malty from the start, the nose has a fruity, alcoholic maltiness with a yeast undertone. The taste is also malty sweet: I know the Dutch seem to brew sweet Bocks and this is no exception. Mild coffee notes take away any thoughts of over-sweetness but a chocolate feel to the flavour brings it back again. Luckily I like sweet beers: this is a sweet toothed beer fans heaven.
