3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20 JanEric (681) - Meppel, - NOV 25, 2011
Amber, small offwhite head. Something sweet in the aroma, with almons and other nuts, and caramel. Smooth taste, slightly bitter, medium to full bodied. Not bad at all, but after a few sips a dryish, and a bit metallic aftertaste shows up.

30 cl bottle @ home. Clear amber color. Almost white head, a bit lacing. Aroma’s: malty sweet, caramel, sweet fruit, herbs. Flavor is medium sweet, sugary, fruity. Very faint bitterness in the finish. First macro brewed beer I’ve had in a long time and it’ll probably be a long time before I’ll have one again.

Bottle. Thanks to Countbeer for this one! Clear, light amber/dark golden/copper liquid with medium, thick tan head. Aroma of cereal malt, caramel, grassy/fruity hops, metal and yeast. Not too pleasant. Taste is light to medium sweet, light to medium bitter and biscuity, caramelly malty. Medium bodied with good carbonation. Not a favourite of mine. Feels very industrial. As it warms up, it becomes really sweet and cloying. Bleh. -1 in taste.

33 cl bottle @ RBBWG 2012, Antwerpen courtesy of Tderoeck.

Small white head, some lace over pale amber beer. Sweet, perfumed, rosewater, sweet- and some coloured malts. Sweet taste, again perfumed malts, but very, very little depth. Aftertaste is pure sugarwater. Light body. Talk about an uninteresting beer...
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 meerbier (914) - Pijnacker, NETHERLANDS - JAN 14, 2012
Bottle@Home. Malty, light herbal aroma. Amber, off-white irregular head, fair lace. Sweetish, malty, hint of sweet citrus fruits like tangerine, more sweet finish, light herbal. Drinkable, but that’s about it.

Fles 30cl
Kleur: Amberkleurig. Smalle witte schuimkraag, beetje instabiel.
Geur: Zoet, fruit.
Smaak: een licht zoetige smaak met een licht bittere nasmaak die erg snel verdwijnd.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Countbeer (1943) - Best of Eindhoven ohne Brauhaus, NETHERLANDS - DEC 16, 2011
Bottle:
Pours a nice clear bit (darker) orange colored beer with a small white kind of airy but lasting head.
Smell flowers, honey, some sweet, malts, light hint of caramel and soft grains. Smell is pretty decent, maybe a bit too much honey...
When tasting this beer, the first thing comes to mind is that it has quite a nice and soft sour accent. Though it disappears as quick as it came. There are traces of malts, caramel, hops, bitter, honey, herbs. Some gentle but soft sweets come through in the end.
All softly packed into a beer that in my opinion is better than the Oerblond.
But hey, we all got a different taste!
The aftertaste is pretty short and light: some sweet malts, hops flowers and a touch of herbs.
Medium carbo, soft mouthfeel, medium body and a light creamy texture.
Not bad.
