COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Dark red-brwon colored beer with a creamy white head. Medium carbonation. Malt, red fruits and caramel are the flavours in this beer. Prety good Dubble, though a bit to little character to make this a great dubble.

500 ml cork and caged ceramic bottle, served in a snifter glass. Dark copper, slightly hazy, with a nice, frothy off-white head. Not exactly persistent. Typical dubbel aroma, candied fruits, raisins and figs, brown sugar, yeast, a hint of booze and a slight citrus edge (orange peel). Slightly toasted in the mouth, a bit astringent, lighter and softer than expected. The alchool is there, but well hidden overall. Dark fruits and burnt caramel/toffee in the aftertaste. Quite dry for the style. Average carbonation, medium body, slightly oily texture. Despite some dodgy ingredients listed on the back of the label, it’s definitely a pleasent beer.

Beautiful cloudy dark red color, average sized brownish head. Full body, lively carbonation. Aroma of malts, yeast, raisins, strawberry, dark fruits. Medium sweet, light bitter taste with dry finish. Very complex and very interesting. Excellent dubbel.

Dark brown color, minimal to medium tan head. Sweet nose. Big caramel aroma with hints of coffee. Sweet taste, long sweet finish. Medium to full body, average carbonation. Alcohol well hidden. Good one, but could be better considering the price. About 5,8€ for 0,5l bottle is everything but cheap.

Jar from the Nettorama in Gorinchem. The beer has a ruby red color and a small cream colored head and medium Co2. The aroma is malty, fruity and has some tones of licorice. The taste is light sweet with tones of nuts and a little alcohol. In the aftertaste herbs and a light bitterness which makes the aftertaste nice. A nice dubbel beer but a little expensive. I know cheaper ones which are way better.

50cl bottle thanks to ruigo. Dark reddish brown color, with low to medium initial head with beige color. Good carbonation, round and full body and little oily. Aromas of sweet caramel, coffee and yeast. Aftertaste is long and sweet mouth. A well-balanced and well disguised alcohol beer.

Crystal clear, dark brown body with a small beige head that ends up as a fully lasting thin layer and some foam sticking to the glass. The malty and sugary aroma is moderate, with notes of malt extract, dark fruits and brown sugar. Quite strong flavour of dark fruits, Belgian yeast, orange, brown sugar and alcohol. Moderate sweet and moderate bitter taste. Mid-bodied, oily texture and moderate carbonation, a very light dryness in the finish. Ok beer, lovely bottle.

Poco amara. Corpo caldo, mediamente carbonata, tutto sommato abbastanza rotonda nonostante l’alcool, non troppo equilibrata , ma abbastanza armonica.
