COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Comes in a lovely ceramic bottle. Pours a deep dark brown with a slight beige head. Aroma of malts, plum, caramel, raisin, brown sugar. Unfortunately, that sounds more complex than it is. Taste is a bit sugary. This is a nice dubbel that I wouldn’t mind drinking again some day. However, it is hardly anything special.

McWorta (591) - LUXEMBOURG - AUG 11, 2013
Mahagony brown/red in colour with a frothy dark white head. Noses of sweet raisin and brown sugar paried with light fig notes. Light fizzy fading quickly into soft light oily/velvet texture. Got some light metallic notes to it. Full body, sweet with a surprisingly average finish. The beer is overall pretty balanced looking at it on a general level but the single components draws some questions. Nice beer though.

Not as good as the Grand Prestige, but a rather good beer. In a very good looking bottle.

Really nice looking bottle, old style ceramic 50cl with a champagne cork and wired cap. Pours in a nice dark brown with a nice beige head. But that was the best part. The aroma is very light, and notes of malts and barley. Flavors, at first very flat and watery, not much carater, you need to dig in to find the malts and spieces. For the price, I will not want a second.

Not a bad dubbel at all. Plum and other dark fruits in the flavor. A medium to thick mouthfeel with some alcohol at the end of the taste. Some brown sugar and earth as well.
