Corked 500mL ceramic bottle BRonze body, minimal head. Good nose - prunes, dates, rich toffee, brandy. Full body, syrupy smooth, thick, creamy. Sweet rich dark malts & sugars on the body, dried fruits, some booze. Substantial, pretty decent.

Bottle at home, 3 years after expiration date. Dark brown with off-white foam. Nose: caramel, nuts, alcohol, licorice and coconut. Body is medium with lively cabonation, but strong in alcohol. Taste is quite sweet with a light bitter finish.

300 ml. bottle @ Café Kandinsky. Appearance is dark wood, brown, small mocha. Nose is thick wood, dark fruits mixed with liquorish, sweetish liquorish, light varnish but not in an unpleasant way,… Taste is thick wood, sweet molasses, syrupy, faint cherry, dark red fruit syrup, spices, light alcohol,… Spirit body,… I get why this is an old school classic. I rather liked it.

[50cl thanks to ruigo] Dark reddish brown color, with a small tan head. Medium carbonation full body and creamy texture. Aroma is spicy, plums, malt, red berries, caramel. Taste is bitter, spicy, sweet, with alcohol too much present... yes, it has 10%, but cold be more disguised... Aftertaste is astringent, and long sweet.

10% ABV Wheaty nose that blooms and broadens developing aromatics of plum, dried honey dates and lilies. Flat to medium head. Ebony hued; dark caramel when held up to the light. A very inviting and promising color for a quad. The first mouthfeel is subtly carbonated and hefty. The syrupy caramelized flavors are nicely rounded off resulting in a finish that is balanced without the harsh bitterness of burnt toast or immature hops. Heavy. Should be enjoyed slowly and sipped Definitely to be had ice cold, but develops interesting fruity dimensions after being allowed to oxidize and breathe a little at room temperature. Chalice drinking vessel is perfect.
