COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Ruby-red colour, almost no head. Lots of alcohol in the aroma, together with some fruits and caramel. Flavour is of alcohol, caramel, and dark fruits. Quite drinkable, despite the 10% ABV.

Sweet, vanilla-fruity, cakey aroma with some bourbon notes. Good label and cap. Medium dark brown, fluffy head which didn’t pile up too tall. Generally a nice balance, but boozy and leaning towards alcohol bitterness. A few musky undertones. Medium-heavy body, and the finish floundered a bit giving an overbrewed and pasty impression over a syrupy aftertaste..

Tasted 2007-08-20. Bottle, 30cl. Pours clear brown with light brown head. Fruity aroma. Alcohol very present. The alcohol warms the entire body and gives bitterness. Tastes sweet and fruity and very malty.

kopestes (164) - Braine l’Alleud, BELGIUM - AUG 12, 2007
0.3l bottle. Very dark red color with beige non lasting head. Aroma is caramel and fruit. Taste starts sweet (malt and caramel) and then changes to pleasant bitter. Long sweet-bitter aftertaste. Very thick mouthful. Immediate warming sensation that starts in your stomach and spreads through whole body. Good strong ale.

Bottled, 300ml, past, at Falstaff cafe, Maastricht, Netherlands. Black with ruby hue, tan head. Big fruity nose and flavour initially with a punch of alcohol, then there is a boiled tea like flavour and a slight wet cardboard note. decent enough big beer.

Flaske. Egentlig en udemærket øl, men det kræver at man har en sød tand da der er umådelige mængder af restsødme i både duft og smag. Rørsukker i duften, rom i smagen. Denne sødme maskere fuldstændigt alkoholen. Men som sagt er jeg godt tilfreds med søde sager.

Bottle. Medium high lighh brown creamy and lastinhg head. Clear but very dark red body. Sweet berries aroma, black beries, plus a good deal of hops. Nice. Too bad that the alcohol is so evident. Heavy alcohol flqvor with hops and cara,eæ black berries flavor. Heaviliy carbonated. Strong and long lasting bitter alcohol aftertaste. Alcohol: OK. Alcohol taste: I do not like it.

Maria (10121) - Thisted, DENMARK - JUL 3, 2007
This beer is worthy of it’s name. It has a nice, lasting and golden head, that leaves a nice lace. the color is black with a red hue. The aroma is wonderful with notes of dark and ripe fruits. The flavour is sweet, round and full with notes of lots and lots of dark fruit, and as it gets warmer, also a hint of alcohol. The finish is slightly dry. A truly nice beer!

I could sense burned malt and figgs and raisens. It’s dark red. The flavor is full of alcohol and honey a bit similar to a mead. There is also a taste of figgs.

Dark red-brown colour, thin fading beige head. Aroma is of dried fruits and caramel. Quite a thin mouthfeel but certainly a rich full flavour. Sweet floral flavours dominate and there’s a little aniseed in there too. A very clean aftertaste considering the high level of alcohol.
