COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Low head on a brown body. A very rich brew, meaning it’s full of taste coming from its ingredients. Spices; fruits are nicely interlaced in its tste, and it leaves a very nice aftertaste. A beer I would enjoy any time.

Lubiere (9788) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 27, 2006
Dark clear brown coloured with a thin light moka head. Sweet banan and plums in aroma, esters and vanilla notes. In mouth, a sweet warming beer, with vanilla fudge, and a smooth alcohol burn, round in mouth, with a scotch amaretto hybrid feel. Merci Dum!

Jukkabro (3484) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 14, 2006
Coke-colored, fastly vanishing yellow head. Aroma has sweetness, chocolate, wine and some plums. Medium to full bodied. Flavor is overly sweet with berries and mild chocolate, medium alcohol in the end. Too alcoholic and way too sweet for my taste.

Bottle at home. A very strong ale with a nice taste considering. A wiff of alchol but not too overpowering. Chocolatey taste. Very pleasant. Short finish.

UPDATED: APR 3, 2008 A Mes rate: Bottle from Lowlander.
Quite amazed to realise I have not done this one already. Very sweet malty aroma but not sickly. Fair dollop of alcohol in there too. Awesome deep red / mahogany body. Not at all cloudy but such a deep colour it is almost opaque. Shame the head died. Lots of toffee and sweet malt in the flavour with a touch of vanilla and apple. Good palate. Finish is sweet, alcoholic and slightly nutty. A little bit on the swift side though. Characterful all rounder.
