750ml corked bottle. dark from with amber tones. very little head. sweet malty aroma. flavor very fruity and sweet. ends with a slightly bitter finish. some slight warming, but no direct alchol flavor. thing but sticky body. lacks complexity, but not unrefined. If i can find this in a chepa 6er, i might just have a new fridge beer.

30 cl bottle. No yeast at the bottom. Dark reddish brown colour with a weak head. Sweet aroma of malt, spice and some alcohol. Great flavour of sweet maltness, caramel, some dried fruit and candy. Ends up with a warm and nice feeling from the alcohol.

Bottle: Dark brown colour with ruby corners. Nice beige, short lived head. Aroma of especialy roasted malt, burned caramel, dark fruit and alcohol. UPDATED: AUG 15, 2006 Dark brown, red appearance. Aroma is spicy, not too much. The flavour is fruity, almost wine/port like. The finish is a bit bitter. Overall pretty good.
Tasted 2,5 year old one at the Hertog Jan brewery in the cellars, very very nice! Port like aroma and smell. Very smooth.

understated aroma:lightly malty, some ripe fruit. Pours a ruby brown, thin head. Flavour is fruity, mainly prunes. Quite dry in the finish and alcohol is non-existent. A refined beer that is subtle in its presentation.

Dark reddish brown. Thin foamy lasting head. Light aroma, sweet alcohol and sherry. Cloud like on the palate. Warming alcohol, dark fruit and some peppery spice. A subtle mixture of flavours. Light finish. Some Belgian baking soda characteristics.

15 Jun 2005 - (Schruers terrace, Margraten) - Sweet roasted malt, low hop, with some spirit aroma Clear brown-red colour, nice lacing and Ok head. Sweet lovely fruit flavour. Bitter lingering spirious fruit finish.
