75 cl bottle, brewed in 2012, consumed in the same year. Deep brown colour, rocky white head, not-adhesive (probably due my glass). Aromas of dark fruits, caramel, sweet malts. Taste is delicious: sweet, dark fruits, overwhelmed by an alcohol flavour. Long sweet and fruity finish. To my opinion a bit immature flavours. Planning to place some bottles in stock and drink them in a few years. To be continued..

2016 bottle. Doughy yeast spices sweet wine aroma that you expect from a quad. Light brown with sticky lacey head. Really nice sweet and malty with a strong fortified yet elegant finish. A nice pleasant surprise, if you like quads this is worth trying.

This is probably the most interesting beer I’ve ever had. Even though it’s not an IPA. :D

0.33l bottle. Dark ruby body, thin light brown head. Aroma of chocolate, banana, toast and caramel. Taste of chocolate, cherries, banana, cocoa and a hint of booze. Quite similar to a weizenbock with a bit more chocolate. Very nice beer.

Bottle. Color: Dark reddish brown. Light head. Taste: Medium sweet roasted malts, lightly hopbitter. Hints of caramel and herbs. Quite intense. Finish tends to the sweet side. Doesn’t really taste like a high alcohol beer. Easy drinkable.

Old rating. Very deep and rich beer. Dark brown sugars, dried fruits. Moderate bitterness, intense smooth and thick, not too sweetish. Long intense fruity caramelly burned aftertaste, rich, not too sweetish, round and great!

0.3 l bottle, best before 8/2016, probably about two years old. Clear, very dark ruby with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, a bit fruity aroma of caramel, treacle, raisins, prunes and even a slight hint of red wine. Quite sweet, very malty, moderately fruity taste of caramel, treacle, raisins, prunes, blackcurrant and a touch of red wine, followed by a medium long, slightly bitter, quite warming, but only minimally alcoholic finish. Medium to full body, almost oily mouthfeel, average carbonation. Very satisfying, harmonic and well-drinkable, overall a really nice sipper!

The bottle is a work of art. Beautiful half-liter ceramic bottle with champagne stopper. A loud ’oomph’ comes when the plug is pulled off followed by a cascade of carbon dioxide which spreads good aroma. The beer is beautifully nut-brown and has a lovely aroma of yeast, rum and some dried fruit. Foam is light brown and in the beginning very foamy, but drops quickly. The taste is rich and very fruity of ripe dark fruit (plums, cherries and grapes), roasted malt with fine taste of burnt caramel and a little dark chocolate and brown sugar. Another rater describes it like drinking velvet, and it’s actually a really good description of the mouth feeling arises at first sip. One reason is also the soft carbonation which helps to spread all the good flavors across the mouth and keep them long. The alcohol is high and warming. I’m usually an impatient rater so my bottle is a 2016 version, which will surely develop much more positively if you save it 4-5 years. Although my bottle is freshly brewed beer it has already developed port wine notes which makes it quite unique, but without doubt it is a beer which advantageously can be stored for many years. No hop bitterness, everything ends in a brilliant way of the fruit. It is an almost complete experience that probably can be totally perfect if you are not as impatient as me and instead stores the bottle dark and cool for a few years.

Botella. Color café pero clara. Aroma estupendo a puding licorado. Pasas, bombón,... muy agradable. En boca es sensacional. Muy equilibrada con toques pronunciados a pasas y ocultando muy bien su graduación alcohólica. Un postgusto que se maneja entre un ligero amargor y un toque dulce final. Muy buena.
