Red-amber color. Strong aroma: caramel, malt, alcohol, raisins; too much mature. A bit oily, alcoholic; poor malt, very strong caramel, nutty. Burning final. Unbalanced.

Es ist fruchtig und ein bisschen herb. Man merkt das Zucker verwendet wurde dieser störte mich am Anfang nicht ab der Mitte ist er aber nicht mehr so lecker. Schon ein gutes Bier bei dem mich eigentlich nur der Zucker ab Mitte gestört hat. Fazit: Trinkenswert!! Test vom 6.12.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,11,10,11,12,10 - 10,20

2420512: Clear dark amber color with fine head. Pure and delicious Belgian flavor with good hints of banana.

Pours yellow-golden with thin white head. Aroma is fruity, malts with a little alcohol. Carbonation-wise it’s a bit too flat.

Jan 2008: The third and final offering of my ’Dutch Beer Afternoon’ on a wet and windy Saturday in Shropshire. Poured into my Corsendonk tulip glass. Red/brown in colour, the head just flew before I could even see it, I like my beer to have a head. Sweet aroma, caramel and toffee apples. The taste is fairly sweet, like the aroma. Sourness in there somewhere too. The sweetness hides the alcohol very well, but it does appear more in the mouth as the flavours begin to die away. I enjoyed this beer, the best of my three from this brewery I reviewed today, even though the scores are very close. Pity about the head.

30cl bottle bought in Venlo. Golden amber with a stiff cream head and very fine carbonation; somewhat spicy aroma; the body is rich and buttery with a light malty taste; the finish is dry and herbal leaving a sticky feeling in the mouth. Certainly characterful by Dutch standards.

Pours amber color with small head. Aroma of yeast, caramel malts and mild spices. Flavor of spices, malts, toffee, caramel and mild ripe fruits.

NIce dark amber color, but a taste just a bit too sweet for me. Alcohol content is high and the beer tastes fesh, but just a bit too sweet. Not bitter, foam is darker color.

Bottiglia da 30 cl. Color ambrato scuro, limpido con poca schiuma di grana media color nocciola di media persistenza. Al naso note maltate, fruttate e di caramello. Al palato si presenta con note fruttate e caramello, risulta leggermente watery anche se fa sentire molto l’alcool con un finale abbastanza secco.

Bottled, 330ml from the Campsite Supermarket at Harderwijk, Netherlands. Red amber with white head, carbonated. Fruity, malty beer with a dose of alcohol. There is a sweetish, plummy, berry fruitiness to this, quite full and rounded but with the strong alcohol note, sweet in the close too, lacks a little bite, but ok all the same.

Murky beer. Some metal, apple, ground, trees. Not great. Bottle I got as a gift.
