2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle courtesy of some vagrant on a park bench. Poured a crystal clear yellow with a thin white head. The aroma is hugely malty leading to a medium to weak bitter, slightly malty flavour with a weak watery palate. Itís fine, but no classic.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle shared with McTapps and bought at a tour in Roermond, NL. Pours in (of course) amber with a slight yeasty belgian yeast nose. Bit sweet in the taste with some warming caramel notes. Number from Hertog Jan so far and worth a second try,

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured from the standard Dutch bottle of 300 ml.
Colour is dark yellow, with lots of bubbles rising, and a one finger head.
Smell is of corn and hops.
Taste is pleasant, barely noticeable bitter, certainly not as much as I was expecting fromm the description on the bottle, and a bit metallic.
Mouthfeel is medium thin bodied, dry, average carbonation.
Overall, not bad. Calling it a premium beer (oerbier) though.. I think not.
