Een lichte heldere kleur. Een lekker zacht blond biertje, met een beetje een water smaak. Ook lekker op terras.

Poured a clear golden amber with a thin white head. Aroma of thick, sweet malt. Medium bodied (for the style), Flavour is of caramel malt, quite sweet and bubblegum taste. So so.

Bottle courtesy of some vagrant on a park bench. Poured a crystal clear yellow with a thin white head. The aroma is hugely malty leading to a medium to weak bitter, slightly malty flavour with a weak watery palate. It’s fine, but no classic.

Bottle shared with McTapps and bought at a tour in Roermond, NL. Pours in (of course) amber with a slight yeasty belgian yeast nose. Bit sweet in the taste with some warming caramel notes. Number from Hertog Jan so far and worth a second try,

McTapps (4314) - Ruhrcity, North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - DEC 28, 2012
By far the best Hertog Jan until now. Bottle shared with MichaelBruch. Deep and clear dark golden colour with low head. Nose is malt. Taste of low malt, mild hops, ripe grains and fresh grass. Refreshing, easy to drink.

Martinus (2892) - Baarle-Nassau, NETHERLANDS - DEC 5, 2012
Orange golden colour, white head. Aroma of banana, quite fruity, malts. Rather sweet flavour, malts, firm yeast profile. Sweet malty finish, mais and hops.
Not bad, just not great either.
(From 33cL bottle while visiting friends)

Sweet and light (as in watery mouthfeel) for a Belgian style. Small creamy head and clear dark golden in color. Aroma is malty, Taste is lightly of malt with lingering sweetness. Needs some work...
