Drafts (many) @ the Prins - Nordeinde, den haag. Hard to recall much (was a pretty raucous evening with some friends and colleagues) - but muddled notes on my phone state (verbatim) = ’slgt watery wit a bit of grassy hops. crisp to start, slightly sugary/swet to finish’. Better than the average euro-lager, but suffers from the sweetness.

Nice, tasteful pilsner with a soft aftertaste. Really drinkable and tasteful at the same time. Apparently, we Dutchmen CAN make good beer.

29.01.2010. 0,5l Can. Bought in Groningen,The Netherlands as "Hertog Jan Traditioneel Natuurzuiver Bier". Golden yellow colour with white head. Aroma is malty and bitter, almost a little dry. I like the bitterhops and the spicy aromas. Medium body with a short bitter aftertaste.

Bottled. Medium-light body, big white head. Aroma of hops and flowers, refreshing herby taste, not too refined.

Slightly darker yellow than most Dutch pilsners. Clear with a white head that dissipates quickly. Watery but well balanced flavour. Nice carbonation and feels smooth in the mouth. Nice bitter finish.

Can, bought @ an Albert Heijn, Amsterdam.
Pours clear golden with a medium, frothy white head that stays for a fine amount of time. Aroma is sweet and quite malty. Some grassy notes but also a little vegetable. Medium carbonation, okay mouthfeel - lightly dry. Flavour is a tad too sweet for my liking. Sugary at first, then malty before a very slight citric and grassy bitterness kicks in. Could be better.
