COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hertog Jan is a brand for beer lovers with an appreciation of natural, tasteful beer. This is a fruity aromatic bottom-fermented pils characterised by a golden color, full body and pleasantly bitter aftertaste. It should be served at 4 to 6C (39 to 43F).

Bottled(300ml). -on some road restaurant near Amsterdam as Hertog Jan Natuurzuiver Bier.
Malty, pleasant hoppy and moderate bitter taste with grainy and faint fruity notes. Finish is short and a bit too sweet. Simple and easy drinkable pils.

Boring, dry, light lager. Seek out the Grand Prestige or the Priminator. This one does nothing for me.

One of my favourite Dutch pilseners. Golden colour, foamy head. Aroma of malts and hops. Taste is sweet, malty ending in a nice soft bitter finish. A bit fruity. Very soft and smooth pilsener.

30 cl bottle, bought in Amstelveen. Clear golden color, ok but disappering white head. Aroma is malty with hints of hops. Flavor is fine malt, some fruits and bitterness.

Bottle: Poured a orange yellow color with thin white head. The aroma was very taste was similar with lots of malts and a tingly alcohol taste. This bottle might have been a little past its prime!

A clear yellow colored beer, with a nice foamy white head. The aroma is grainy with malt. The taste has a nice bitterness, with sweet in it. A light bitter and dry after taste.

Draft at cafe in Spui square Amsterdam. Nice gold and a bit hazy, crisp hops aroma and refreshing. None of the strange aftertastes of some of the other netherlands pilsners (at least no metallic tones). Gentle bitter end.

Very nice color and aroma make me looking forward to drink, taste complete the experience. Frutty sweet aroma and gently bitternes, that remains after taste. I’m not into pilseners but if pushed I would drink a Hertog.

Golden coloured beer. Diminishing white head. Few carbonation. Malty hoppy aroma. Full little wattery palate. Bit bitter ending which sweetens off.
