Commercial Description:

Bottle. A special pilsener. More bitter taste. Beer looks like a normal pilsener. Clear golden with a good head. Enjoyable but not special.

Pours clear dark golden color with a foamy head that quickly dissipates. Faint aroma of sour fruits and hops. Taste is cheap sugary watery sweetness with some malts. Short dry bitter finish. Medium carbonation. Expected more of a Hartog Jan.

Orange colored brew. Malty, grainy aroma. Flavor is hoppy, malty and some fruits. Some sweetness. Overall not really interesting.

Pours amber with a small head. Malty aroma and flavour, but with an detracting metallic aftertaste.

330 ml bottle. Dark golden body with a small off-white head. Aroma is vague grainy with hints of hops. Flavor is sweet malty, some caramel and alcohol with a pronounced bitter finish. Quite straightforward a stronger pils, not particular balanced.

[Bottle @ Odense Tasting, 14th February 2009, remembered for Carsten BeerMouths fantastic 3 meals highend gastronomy.] Although it’s long time I’ve tasted these brewdrops I remember it not as a pilsner, but a heller bock.

Light brown/golden color, nice lasting head, very rich taste for a pilsener. This is basicly regular Hertog Jan Pilsener but than with 20% more alcohol and taste. Which is a good thing.

Bottle: Golden coloured with a very fluffy off-white head; sweetish grainy-dusty, presumably also a bit corny nose; light sweetish flavour, really light bodied for a beer of 6.0%; short grainy, sweetish and slightly alcoholic finish. Boring brew.......
