3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 mike_77 (1961) - NETHERLANDS - JUL 22, 2007
A little darker than a regular Pilsener this slightly stronger version has a strong full taste. It’s a bit low on the hops compared to the malt but offers enough flavour overall to make it interesting. There’s an aftertaste which is both metallic and a little grassy.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Maria (9572) - Thisted, DENMARK - JUL 3, 2007
The head is moderate and the color is golden. The aroma is hoppy and the flavour also has a lot of hops. I also get a few malty notes right before the finish, that has a nice bitterness.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Hansen (5449) - Assentoft, DENMARK - MAY 4, 2007
Dark yellow/golden and clear. Has a medium lasting, white head. Flavor and aroma has a little bit of bitterness, no floral notes. Flavor is mainly sweet.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 sayravai (4655) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 24, 2006
(Bottled) Deep golden / light amber color with a smallish, white head and some lace. Very mild aroma of pale malts, some alcohol and very faint hops. Sweet-malty, quite alcoholic flavor with some fruitiness. No hops to speak of (some flowery ones can be digged out), considering it’s supposed to be a pilsener. Medium-bodied, sweet-alcoholic palate with quite low carbonation. A drinkable European strong lager, but hardly a pilsener.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 raymondwave (931) - FINLAND - NOV 22, 2006
Had this one with a plate of ribs at the brewery. Worked fine with such a greasy and heavy food. Otherwise not too rememberable for a strong lager. Has the identifiable sweet character of a Hertog Jan product.
3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 DanBerg (59) - Alkmaar, NETHERLANDS - NOV 16, 2006
Nice full-bodied pilsener. Nothing wrong with the head and color, good appearance too with a ’strong’ name. Fine taste, better than the normal pilsener.
2.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 altonbrownd (4210) - Brussels, BELGIUM - AUG 11, 2006
Bottle at home. Pale pilsener, bit sweet, strong. Okay. Not my favorite of the Hertogs.
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 MiP (12183) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - MAY 10, 2006
Bottle. BB April 05, 1 year ago. Grainy aroma, and honey? Dark golden colour, semi-stable, rocky white head. Peppery flavour with a slight sweetness. Rather standard, but not bad export.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Quinten (1032) - zaandam, NETHERLANDS - DEC 24, 2005
Nice fully pilsener of 100% fully natural ingredients.
Grainy taste withe a gentle bitter aftertaste.
Now it is time to test wat the conclusion is after a whole evening trinking this beer

Had expected much more of this Primator, thought it was a complexer beer than the ordinary Hertog Jan Pilsener, but this beer is a bit dissappointing
