COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Really nice looking bottle, old style ceramic 50cl with a champagne cork and wired cap. Pours in a nice straw yellow with a nice off white head. But again, that was the best part. For the price I paid, it sould be more than just a nice bottle. Almost no aroma, had to really find it, some hints of malts, but not much. Flavors, first sip, watery, soapy and malty. Sweet, and really reminds me of a Leffe Blonde. Nothing much here, just some malty sweet flavored water. Most of the beers I enjoy I complain that the bottle is too small, but here, I had trouble finishing the 50cl. Not enjoyable. No Thanks.

Presentation: Heavy black stone bottle, corked and caged, 500 ml. Pretty impressive. ABV 8,5% Poured into a tulip glass. Pours an orange gold colour beer with almost two fingers of white, froathy head. Average retention, leaves some light lacing around the glass when it finally settles down. Very little activity in the glass and lots of bits and pieces floating in the beer’s body. Aroma is bready and yeasty, with fruity notes, such as peach. Good but nothing really impressive. Taste is more sweet than bitter, lots of malts and an obvious alcohol taste. Fruits are present on the taste too but not as clearly notceable as on the aroma. Thin to medium on the body, with average carbonation. Medium dry on the palate. Overall a good tripel, easily drinkable.

After having the Dubel and Grand Prestige I had great expectations but the beer is not up to them. The poorest of the three. Lacks in flavour and appearance. Weak carbonation.

Smells of a good mix between floral and boozy. Pours cloudy amber with some head and lacing. Some bitterness from booze and a little spice. Some oak as well. Bottle.

Thuis gedronken uit een 0,5L fles, goudkleurig helder bier met een kleine schuimkraag, ruikt een beetje kruidig, bitter, graan. Zoete smaak, beetje fruitig, beetje bitter.

Stone jar at home. Hazy deep golden pour, thin white head. Aroma is spicy, somewhat fruity but quite mild. Flavor is even milder, with hints of sweet fruits and spices but very watery. Only slightly bitter in the finish. Well balanced though, but not as flavorful as expected.

50cl ’stone jar’ @ home shared with Thompson. Clear golden color, small white lacing, yeast particles on the bottom of the glass, no floaties. Smell malts, some sweetness and some bitter. Taste malts, lightly sweet, lightly bitter, hints of fruits. Low to medium carbo, medium body. Decent.
