COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Bottle at work. Pours amber with a white head. Aroma of yeast, malt, light dried fruit, harsh yeast, caramel, malty. Taste is rather sweet light yeast, light bitter.

A dark golden tripel from Hertog Jan. I was quite suprised when I saw it in the supermarket. A decent tripel of wich a surprisingly low quantity is brewed. Truly another good beer from Hertog Jan.

Slightly murky orange, modest head. A: Pilsener malts, citrus, bread, vanilla, marzipan, hint of rosewater. T: sweet, doughy, biscuits, yeasty. Fruity development, citrus, orange, kiwi notes. Standard dry Triple finish. Ok.

Golden colour with quick fading head. Aroma of stewed, sweet fruits and malts. Lacking in the yeasty complexity offered by its Belgian cousins. Has a fairly dry finish making it just about palatable.

Bottle 500ml @ home
Pours clear golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, yeast, apple, alcohol and dried fruits. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long warm, yeasty and dried fruity finish. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Draft @ Koopman. Light opaque yellow, white lacing foam head. Light sweet aroma, but more sweetness in taste. Bit too much. (Arnhem 201603)

UPDATED: APR 27, 2016 Average malty aroma. Little head. A little hazy, gold color. A bit too sweet and too obvious alcohol feel, kind of like fermented glutinous rice. Flat carbonation, sticky texture.
