UPDATED: SEP 15, 2014 Occasional beer made in 2005 for PINT’s 25th anniversary, with Munich, pale and wheat malts and two hop varieties (Perle and Magnum). Practically no head for some strange reason, only a thin layer of off-white bubbles after forcing, quickly dissolving again. Deep hazy copper colour. Complex and interesting aroma, a mix of apple, hay, orange, tomato, tobacco, cider, sherry, sulphur and caramel, but some of these odours seem to clash with each other. Smooth but flat mouthfeel due to the lack of carbonisation, sweetish caramel taste, resinous, a bit woody and smoky, nutty as well, leafy with mild herbal hop bitterness and warming alcohol in the end. Strange beer, clearly undercarbonized and definitely not a real tripel to me.

Aroma is jodium, ziekenhuisachtig, hout, met zoete tonen. De smaak is zoetig met kaneel, met wederom een tikkeltje ziltig jodium. Erg geslaagd, met heerlijke nasmaak.

Amber colour, slight white rim. Aroma of white cheese (supermarket brie), mold, Madeira wine, malts and caramel. Sweet flavour, Madeira and raisins. Finish raisins and malt.
Aged quite well.
(From 75cL bottle @ ZZT VII, Oirschot. Thanks for sharing, joes!)

Bottle @ ZZT7 thx to joes. Orange to amber colour with a small white head. Smells cheese (brie), funghus, mold. Tastes caramel, sweet, quite nice actually. Medium body, low carbo.

Bottle shared by Joes @ ZZT VII. Clear rusty reddish color, virtually no head. Smell and taste malts, caramel, old malts, sweetness. Still, it’s not bad actually. Doesn’t taste like a tripel anymore, but not bad taste-wise.

Tasted at ZZT 7 thanks to Joes. Pours clear amber with no head. Aroma is mould upfront, with light malt and toffee. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter. Medium bodied with no carbonation. Definitely past it’s prime.

Proeverij @ de Klep. Grote fles. Koperkleurig, niet veel kraag. Aroma van hout en mout. Smaak ook hout en mout en wat zoetzurig. Deed me heel even aan een duchesse de bourgogne denken. Medium body. Wel lekker.
