BCA. Pours quite flat, very pleasant clean gold colour. Low aroma, sulphury bitter palate, plenty of biscuit, quite lager-esque in the finish. As with most of HN’s beers, it doesn’t have a lot of body, but is an ideal summer quaffing beer.

Bottle, from the Local, Carlise, on the train from Inverness to Hereford 21/10/13. Lightly hazed golden with little in the way of a head. Nose is orange, grass, toasted malts. Taste comprises toasted, malt, grain, grass, light fruit. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, grassy bitterness in the finish. So so GB - one to forget !

Cask handpull, The Duke of Edinburgh Hotel, Barrow, Cumbria, 16/02/13. Straw piled with fine, foamy white. Nostrils of lime, grass and peanut butter hints. Slight, limey and clean with fennel and curry leaf hints. About the best golden ale I encountered in Cumbria, and in tip top condition.
