Commercial Description:
A dark red, delicious strong ale, beguilingly smooth and definitely dangerous.

Cask and bottle in the brewpub. The cask was going off so he opened a bottle so we could try how its ment to be. Cask rating: Vinigar, tart vinous fruit, cellar and red wine vinigar. Bottle rating: Alround: Malty fruity beast, tart fruit still and more alc than expected. Both bottle and cask were 6%.

Cask@Kingston Beer Festival, London. Slightly smoky aroma, with some caramel/mocha/chocolate/liqourice. These flavours translate to the palate. Rich full bodied and as Per points out some noticable saltyness in the finish, very nice indeed, a good find.

Sampled cask conditioned at The Crown Inn, Hesket Newmarket, Cumbria.
Dark mahogany coloured. Lovely complex aroma. Really salty. Fruity and very roasty. Full bodied. Lingering salty licorice in the finish.
