Journey to the Wallonian countryside with our delightful San Diego Saison. Anno Duo combines the refreshing profile of Belgian farmhouse beers with the bolder flavors for which Hess Brewing is known and loved. Complex earthy and spicy esters burst onto the pallet providing an excellent contrast to the dry, peppery finish. Thr addition of authentic Belgian dark candi syrup means rich flavor (think figs and dried fruit). Enjoy Anno Duo fresh, or cellar it and allow the complexities of this imperial Saison to mature and develop. Whether you try it now or five years hence, its a Hess beer, which means its a great beer, no exceptions, no excuses. Anno Duo: Two-row, white wheat, Belgian dark candi syrup, European-influenced American-grown hops, San Diego H0, Farmhouse yeast and a whole lotta love.

Bottle thanks to Jen! Pours a dark orange with medium frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is belgian yeast, figs, plum skin. Medium mouth, strong sweetness, pepper, dough, boozy finish, good.

Bottle @ 10K + OT. Thanks, Gil. Lightly hazed amber pour with a tall khaki head. Sweet bready malt and grapes on the nose. Light banana, some golden raisin, and a lot of pepper spiciness. Taste is fairly sweet and malty. Lots of sugar and bread, as well as a fair amount of dark fruit. Some banana and golden raisin, yeast, pepper, and a hint of citrus.

750ml bottle #296 of 600. Rating #1. Nice black color. Sweet aroma, dark fruits and sugar. Flavor was similar, very flavorful, more dark fruits blended with the Belgian yeast. Very good beer. (2566)
