4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Taster on tap at the brewery: Dark, dark brown with a medium light brown head. Aroma is rich dark chocolate and light coffee. Flavor starts rich dark chocolate followed by light coffee bitterness ending lightly dry with a hint of licorice. Full body is smooth and creamy with light to moderate carbonation.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Served on tap at the brewery tasting room. I was very enticed by the name and it is what brought me there. I love the rye malt and imperial stouts are why I love beer. This brew pours a deep dark brown with a roasted brown head. The aromas are full of rye malts, roasted malts, and other goodness. The flavors are roast rye, light bitter sweet chocolate, and various grains. The mouth is fairly full bodied and smooth. A solid imperial stout that is far from over the top like many out there today but great flavors from the rye and well done. I hope this is a regular offering for this young brewery.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at the brewery. Very dark brown, with small light tan head. Chocolate, sweetness, light roasted malt, rye, caramel, and hints of dark fruit. Nice imperial stout with rye twist, but doesn’t stand out too much among the imp stout crowd.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Roasted rye smell. Dark brown in color. Spicy notes linger due to the rye. Heavy ABV at almost 10%.

Draft.m Black beer with a brown head. Chocolate and light roast aroma with malt. Chocolate and light roast flavor with light spice and light earth. Medium-plus bodied. Chocolate and light roast lingers with some earthiness. Rye in backgroumnd - which is good on this beer. The chocolate is screaming to be balanced with some vanilla from a bourbon barrel. Will be great to sip on when it’s colder.
