Pours a dark amber color with an off-white head. Aroma of biscuit/cracker, fruity esters, and a bit of hops. Flavors were predominantly malty and sweet, with lots of bread/cracker, and more fruity esters. A bit of acidity. Good carbonation, light body, very refreshing for 6.5%.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Can. Light caramelly, light toasted maltiness, balanced by spicy hop notes but not bitter enough to balance the unexpectedly robust body and the light sweetness. Disappointingly spineless.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Can from Coppers, Newcastle. Copper-Amber coloured with a very thin white head of foam. It has a malty, earthy and nutty flavour followed by a red fruity and creamy caramel finish. Not bad, but too little flavour for the high ABV.

(Draught at Beer Temple, Amsterdam, 19 Feb 2016) Amber colour with creamy, off-white head. Malty, slightly fruity nose with toast, apricots and orange. Malty taste with notes of apricots, toast, orange peel and a gentle citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced, but on the shy side. Quite nice.
