A very drinkable, high gravity, crisp and spicy rye IPA, hopped generously throughout the brew process and then dry-hopped with over a pound per barrel of Sterling and Chinook hops. Earthy and spicy notes from both the hops and the rye malt, complimented by the floral and piney aromatics.

21 nov 2014, tap. Yellow, clear, some bubbles. Nose is sweet caramel malt, some grassy hops. Ned body, creamy, mildly fizzy. Meh. Reminds me of a cream ale but an ipa version. Mild but bitter pine hops, some pineapple. Actually okay. Tue is decent.

On draft. Dense whipped cream like head that sticks to the glass as thick lace. Wet earth-plus-spice aroma. Creamy mouth feel. Some spicy malts dominate and somehow there isess hop presence than I might have expected. Still wonderful.

Draft at the brewery. Clear good color with a huge, solid white head and sheets of lacing. Even with the pillow head you get lots of sweet hop aroma like red grapefruit. Flavor falls a little flat with some light sweetness and mild bitterness. Okay.
