Pumpkin Stout. Brewed with 18 pumpkin pies worth per batch of roasted pumpkin. Our stout packs a huge pumpkin punch in an easy drinking stout body. Cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger are also added late in the boil to give it a wonderful fall aroma.

On draft at Tap 25. It pours black with a light tan head. The aroma has lots of cinnamon, allspice, ginger. Hints of molasses and pumpkin pie. The flavor is nice and toasted with coffee, cocoa, light mint and cinnamon notes. Creamy on the palate. Nice spice utilization...not overdone. The roast intensity is kept in check too. Good creamy mouthfeel. Well done.

Draft at Brothers Provisions. Pours a quite dark brown with a finger of tan foam. AROMA of chocolate, roasted vegetables/pumpkin/malts, with some holiday spices and smoke further back in the mix. FLAVOR has roasted unsweetened pumpkin, smooth dark chocolate, roasted malts, and lots of pumpkin pie spice (big nutmeg and ginger). Full bodied with a smooth tasty finish. The "Great Pumpkin" is a well balanced and quaffable pumpkin/spice beer which goes well on a chilly San Diego evening. (11, 829)

Tap at the brewery - San Diego. Pours deep brown with a thick, creamy mocha head. The aroma holds a lovely mix of chocolate, roasted malts and autumnal spices and pumpkin. Medium sweet flavor with dark malts, good roast, light smoke and minerals, restrained pumpkin and spices, hints of burnt meat. Medium bodied with fine carbonation and creamy texture. Sweet finish with a bit of bitter torched earth, burnt wood, baking cocoa, dried pumpkin, nutmeg. Well balanced and dynamic.

Courtesy of daknole. Growler at the Black Friday Tasting pours mahogany with mocha like head. The aroma has lots of pumpkin to go along with black strap molasses, dark roasted malts and a touch of sweet dark fruity esters. The taste is smooth with pumpkin meat notes mixing with spicy black licorice and molasses as well as dark roasted malts and snippets of sweet prunes and dates off in the background. This is tasting mighty good.
